Makes a Great Table and Seats
Built a strong solid table in an hour and a half. I purchased 12’ 2x8 pressure treated lumber for the top and had Home Depot cut them in half thus making the easier to transport and cutting down assembly time. I also bought 10’ 2x4 for the lower supports and had HD cut that in half. I laid the top boards bottom side up on my deck, attached the 2x4 support rails to the legs and then attached the legs to the top boards. I also provided a place for an umbrulla. The table is solid. I am 6’ 5” and it’s fine for me. It is not a “kiddy”table nor is it difficult to assemble using a drill to drive the screws. I pre-drilled holes for the initial screws to prevent them from wandering and to keep the legs in place.

This table is a replacement for a very old table that I disposed of last year. I kept the 2 x 6 table and seat tops and reused them on this table. I had to add seven additional 2 x 4s which I had Home Depot cut to size. I did have to predrill holes for the screws. It is very heavy.so it should last a long time.

Instead of 2X4s, we used 2X8s, treated lumber. Hard to get straight and good 2X8s, but we managed and love the looks and utility of the two tables.
