About This Product
The Center Mark will help you find and mark hidden recessed lighting cans quickly, with no measuring. Just screw the Center Mark targets into your recessed can lights and install the drywall. When you're ready to cut the hole, hold the Center Mark Locator magnet over the area where you think the receptacle is located. When it finds the receptacle, the magnets will snap precisely into place where the receptacle is located. Trace around the locator, cut, then install.

will itr work with wood sheet t1-11 5/8 thick
No 5/8" is about the maximum thickness that these magnets will work properly. The strength of the magnetic field reduces exponentially as the distance between them increases. They are designed for ½" drywall.
I have LED recessed lighting cans, do you have a tool that will work with them?
Yes this will work with most recessed lighting.
We currently do not have a Center Mark Drywall Locator tool for LED recessed light fixtures. I will forward your comments and suggestion on to the Product Development team for review.
Hanging 5/8th thick fire-ceiling board. Will this work with typical 4" round boxes??, .(usually blue plastic or black, some nailers, some on adjustable joist hangers) Got a LOT of them.
I used 5/8 thick drywall. it worked fine. if you have regular size of bulb hole, it will fit.
There is no problem on 5/8th thick material, BUT please note that CenterMark is for recessed lighting “can-lights” and MUST have a light socket to screw the CenterMark target into. IF you mean standard round or octagonal boxes (with no light socket in the bottom) then you are better off with our most versatile model called the MultiMark. If all your boxes are rectangular, then BlindMark is best for you.
Yes, it will work with any diameter of can. The idea is to use the locator to find the center of the can, and then measure out the radius of the size you are installing.
It sure will, as long as you have a standard lightbulb socket to screw into.
