Will the Shark Pex Clamp pincer tool work on these?

The I.d. For a 1/2 crimp ring states .500 . The O.D for 1/2 Pex tubing is .625 . How does the crimp ring fit over the pex ?
It fits. Something tells me that there is a typo or cross information.
The I.D. of a crimp ring is slightly larger than the PEX tubing, around .635. I will have this dimension corrected on the product page.
In my earlier question to you, you said there was no difference between the pex and polybutylene crimp ring. But in the connector pack(UC4008LFA) it clearly comes with two different crimp rings. One black anodized and one shiny copper. Why do they make some shiney copper and some black anodized? I have a pack of the shiney copper crimp rings and I want to be sure they are for pex before I use them. Thanks
Hi Gary, The polybutylene crimp ring (shiny copper) is wider and has a thinner wall to make up for the larger outside diameter of the polybutylene fitting.

I see that this product is only warranted for 2 years, so should I assume that crimped connections can only be expected to last 2 years?
The warranty for SharkBite barb fittings/crimp rings used with SharkBite PEX is 5 years. The warranty for SharkBite barb fittings/crimp rings used with other branded PEX is 2 years.
Are these crimp rings compatable with and apollo crimp tool
Yes these are compatible with the Apollo Tool, make sure to check all Copper Crimp connections with a go/ no-go guage prior to pressure testing.
The copper crimp rings should be used with one of the SharkBite branded tools. SharkBite tools are calibrated for use with SharkBite line of crimp rings.
