They will work but are overkill for your application. The zinc coating indicates for outdoor use. You should be able to find a similar non coated screw that will work just as good for less money

Yes, but I highly discourage you from buying these. The Phillips slots are not cut deeply enough, making it difficult to drive and tighten these screws. I discarded the ones I bought because they were too frustrating to use.
