BrassCraft 1/2 in. FIP Inlet x 1/4 in. O.D. Compression Outlet Multi-Turn Angle Valve controls water flow to household plumbing fixtures - faucets, toilets, dishwashers, icemakers, washing machines, etc. The angle valve is most often used where the water pipe enters the room from the floor. With a few turns of the valve handle, you are able to stop the flow of water leading to the plumbing fixture, allowing for maintenance and repair without turning off water to the entire home.

Thank you for reaching out to BrassCraft. This water stop is made to work with 5/8" OD copper (sweat) inlet and a 1/4" OD copper or poly waterline outlet. Yes, this is usually used for an ice maker, humidifier or water filter.

Hi boli51 - No, we do not recommend you use a compression fitting on CPVC. We have solvent weld or push connect options that are approved for use with CPVC. Please contact our Customer Support Team at 877-272-7755 for assistance in choosing the right valve for your application.
not sure check with manufacturer
no you can't connect this valve to CPVC you would have to use a shark bite shut off
Robpreseren, Thank you for your question! We will need more detail about your installation to give you a firm answer about product repair or replacement. Please call us toll free at 877-272-7755, our Product Experts will walk you through identifying your current installed parts and selecting the correct parts to fix your specific issue. Generally speaking, if the valve is a BrassCraft multi-turn valve (requires 2 to 3 full turns to open or close valve) that has an oval handle and a screw-type stem, then the internal components could be replaced without replacing the entire valve. However, the water supply to the valve would still need to be turned off up-stream.
I am not sure of your setup but you have a water main valve...you should be able to shut the water off through that valve and replace the valve. Obviously this is over five years too late!
I assume to just want to replace the internals ? This would be risky replace entire valve
