Hello, PVC ball valves are not designed for hot water applications, but are for cold water pressure applications only. Prior to starting your project, it is recommended to check local codes to ensure all environmental conditions are taken into consideration for a long-lasting and leak proof installation. We hope this helps with your project.
Hello, this valve is designed to work with Schedule 40 PVC pipe. Any PVC pipe labeled as 1-1/2-in sold by The Home Depot will connect to this valve. The actual I.D. of the inlet and outlet is 1.91-in. Prior to starting your project, we recommend checking local plumbing codes to ensure a water-tight and long-lasting installation. We hope this helps with your project.
Hello, 150 PSI at 73 degrees F.
Hello, If you are measuring the pipe the outside diameter will be larger than 3/4". But the pipe will be marked 3/4". Note you cannot use PVC fittings or valves with CPVC pipe.
If you remove the center cap and move the handle part of the way, the old handle can be taken out and a new one put in. You likely will have to buy a new valve just to get the handle however. I'm looking into lubricating since it's hard to turn.
I do not think you can change it. If there is a small cap in the middle pry that out and there should be a screw that secures it. The newer ones I think are glued in place.
