Yes it does have a built in timer
Hi, it is recommended to be used indoor only. The battery box can not withstand extreme heat, moisture, or snow. Thank you.
Not sure but the battery box fits AAA battery. The total size of battery box could be 3 inches and 6 inches of lights.
Yes, they do twinkle.
My battery box is 3 3/8" L. x 1 7/8" W. x 13/16" D.
I have 6 of these light strings, however I've never used them outdoors but based on thier build and as long as you keep the control box protected from the elements, I wouldn't imagine it being a problem. Also the description doesn't mention it but these strings lights work on a timer- 6 hrs on 18 off. Hope I was able to help
I'm depending on my memory from over a year ago, as I've misplaced the instruction sheet, but I'm almost certain that the lights are intended for indoor use only. However, they could probably be safely displayed in a well protected outdoor location.
We used the lights on are granddaughters wheel chair for Halloween and they lasted the whole time we were trick/treating at Camp Dearborn.
BIG, FAT, YES!!!! YES they can be used out doors! We string 20 strands onto our Dodge Nitro for 2 months. It rains and they continue to work. The strand itself can be fully emerged into water and still work. The battery pack itself however is what is NOT water-proof. You MUST find a way to safe guard the battery pack. On our vehicle we tie the battery packs inside, and then the strand leads outdoors into the curves of the Nitro. I have been using wire, zip ties, string, and hot glue to affix them to auto body, auto plastic trim, and glass for 10 years. Some strands last for several years. Some strands get water in them because I played chance with them, got them wet and they shorted out lol. Some times the back of a light will rust burning it out. I just replace whatever strand doesn’t work each year. Last year 2 lights burnt out on 2 strands. So 18 out of 20 strands made it through severe rain storms for 2 months. It’s up to you. Just protect the battery pack. Best of luck ^^,
No, these can not be used outdoors.
If they are in a covered area away from rain and snow it should be okay .
I did by putting the battery pack in a zip lock baggy. Leaving the zip open a little, and facing down so the snow would not get in it, I put it on small Holly bush at Christmas time.
They are for indoor use only
