Can I use this for the underside of my bridge over my koi pond? Is the solid color waterproofing wood stain water or oil based? Thank you
Hi Linda, thanks for the question. Behr DeckPlus Solid color stain is water-based. It should be suitable for underneath your bridge as long as it doesn't get direct contact with the water, as the coating can fail, and it is not formulated to be non-toxic for animals. What if it rains a few hours after staining
Hi olddeckfiinish, thanks for reaching out. Our DeckPlus Solid Color Wood Stain can resist rain after it has dried for at least 24 hours. If it rains before this, you could run into issues, such as bubbling or peeling. I hope this helps! -Christina
Can I mix one gallon of this stain with one gallon of BEHR PREMIUM in the same color (SC-130)? I already have one gallon of this BEHR DECKplus but would like to use it with one gallon of the BEHR PREMIUM grade on my deck.

I need to put a urethan over top of a good stain. The better half wood like the wood to look a little darker. Before I urethan the picnic table. She wants that smooth glass look when finished. If this not a good stain which item of Behr will work.

How long does it take to dry?
Hi there, thanks for he question. I'd suggest waiting at least one hour between each coat of stain. The stain should be able to be exposed to light foot traffic after 24 hours and heavy foot traffic after 72 hours, as it should be fully cured, depending on the temperature and humidity.
