The 8 ft. x 112.5 ft. single net straw erosion control blanket covers 900 sq. ft. of seeded ground per roll. It is made from weed-free straw held together by a single photodegradable polypropylene net. Installation calls for landscape pins or staples only: roll the blanket over the seeded area, pin it down, and overlap adjacent rolls by 6 in. The 52 lb. roll can be carried and placed by one or two workers, and both the straw and the netting break down over roughly 12 months, so nothing needs to be pulled up once vegetation is established. Seeding new lawns on freshly graded slopes rated up to 3:1, where rainfall would otherwise wash seed off bare soil. It also suits low-flow roadside ditches and drainage swales that need cover while grass takes hold. Contractors finishing post-construction or land-grading work can pin rolls straight over reseeded disturbed ground.
