BrassCraft 1/4 in. Nominal Compression Inlet x 3/8 in. O.D. Compression Outlet 1/4-Turn Straight Valve controls water flow to household plumbing fixtures - faucets, toilets, dishwashers, icemakers, washing machines, etc. The straight valve is most often used where the water pipe enters the room from the floor. With a 90° turn of the valve handle, you are able to stop the flow of water leading to the plumbing fixture, allowing for maintenance and repair without shutting off the water to the entire home.

I think this description is reversed. It should be 3/8 inlet, and 1/4 outlet.

The industry uses nominal sizing, the inside diameter of trade sizes of pipe and OD sizing, outside diameter. Brasscraft provides this in our detailed descriptions where some other stop manufactures will only provide basic inlet size and outlet size but not define what size their stops are. The inlet & outlet both have the same size 3/8? OD (1/4? ID). You can verify my response by looking at the part numbering system in BrassCraft?s catalog. G2CR11X? the 1st ?1? is the outlet code. The 2nd ?1? is the inlet code. ?1? = 3/8 OD (1/4? Nom).
