These 1.75 Corona Tempered Steel snips are specifically made for trimming small branches. I would say the maximum diameter would be 1/4". These are NOT hand Bypass Shears! They are precision snips which I use on my Orchids and other small precison jobs.
Yes you can, it can cut up to 1 inch.
2” of cutting edges.
They've got a good sharp 2 inch blade. Very useful.
Thank you for your question. The blades of this tool are approximately 1.9". Have a great day.
The blades are about 1 3/4” long.
The blades have a length of 1.9".
Corona makes a sharpening tool I really like. It's basically a piece of carbide on a handle and you drag it across the blade without having to disassemble. Unless your blade is really nicked, this works great for putting a quick edge on your tool. Costs about $11 on homedepot.com
You cant take them apart, but they do open very wide. You can mount them in a vice or hand hold and use a file for the length of the cutting surface. You can use a stone or small diamond sharpening plates.
I haven't had to sharpen yet, but a file shouuld be able to reach in.
I use Corona's sharpener. Just a few swipes on the blades, then a pass on the flat side to make sure it's perfectly flat, and they're back to super-sharp.
A great question - Using a sharpener, such as Corona's AC 8300 allows for the sharpening of blades, without taking the tool apart. A sharpening stone is also used in the same manner. To sharpen the blades, hold the tool with the blades away from you. Angle the sharpener at approximately 90 degrees to the blade and swipe the sharpener across the blade four to five times. Do this with each blade. It is quick and easy.
It is made in Taiwan.
