Depends on the water level in the tank. 27.71 inches of water is equal to 1 psi.

Im a plumbing contractor. I can't find a description for the recommended fittings to use with this product. Are pack joint fittings the recommended fitting? Is there also a recommended barbed fitting?

    Answer This Question

It's CTS sizing so the 1" plastic blue fittings are too big and 3/4" are too small. However, the brass barb poly fittings in 3/4" are slightly bigger and they work in this 1" poly. The CTS is also consistent with PEX but not sure if thats ok underground.

Pack Joint fittings are the only fittings that I have found that are specifically designed for cts poly pipe, you need both the fitting and the insert, a little pricey but two fitting and inserts plus pipe work out to be about the same price as ips pipe

Advertised as 3/4. The specs say 5/8, and 3/4 fittings don't fit!
I needed to bury a drain line for an artesian well. The old pipe collapsed, so I bought this pipe hoping that the higher pressure rating would give me a tougher pipe. I still believe this is stout pipe, the problem is that you have to heat it to force barbed connectors in because the inside diameter is NOT 3/4! See my pics. With a scale on the outside of the pipe, it reads 3/4 on the opposite side inner wall. So, once you subtract the wall thickness, you get about 5/8. In fact, their detailed specs say the same thing. So why is it labeled 3/4?

Strong product, uses1” PEX fittings and rings!
I’m using this to extend a drinking water line. Use 1” PEX not barb fittings! Buy fitting and valves on Amazn, about 1/4 the cost in store.

Product was a week late, and was supposed to be discounted because of it, but was charged the full price. Wasn’t wrapped by the time it got to the store. Won’t buy from there again.

It was not 1 1/4 inch. It's outside dimensions were that, but it was a 1” internal dimension pipe.

Stiff and needed heat to push fittings into it but just a few psi drop with a 17gpm sprinkler.

I used this pipe to run a water line to my koi pond and chicken coop. Paired with quick connect fittings it was so easy to set up. I really like that the water coming out doesn’t smell like chemicals as a lot of hoses do.

            Poor quality 1000 pin leaks
I bought 400 ft of this last year to install on my flower farm and it’s done nothing but leak; it’s like someone stabbed it with a needle 1000 times. Then they turn into big leaks. I’ve spent more money fixing it than it cost me to install including renting the trencher from Home Depot to install it. If your burying line do not buy it from Home Depot.

              Good luck with connectors!
I bought this for an artesian well drain line because it had thick walls to stand up to my hardpan lawn. I'm very happy with the thick walls, but they came at a price! The ID does not work with the poly pipe connectors sold at HD. You have to use heat and the result is a deformed, weak connection.
