The M18 FUEL 1/4 in. Hex Impact Driver is the Most Powerful Tool in its Class. At 1800 in. lbs. of fastening torque, this tool drives screws faster but also provides greater control over power and speed thanks to its proprietary 4-Mode DRIVE CONTROL. The POWERSTATE Brushless Motor delivers up to 0-3,000 RPM with constant power output to drive screws faster. REDLINK PLUS Intelligence is the most advanced electronic system on the market, preventing damage to the tool and battery caused by overloading or overheating. For use with REDLITHIUM Compact Batteries or Extended Capacity Batteries (sold separately), which deliver more work per charge and more work over the life of the pack than competitive batteries on the market. The 4-Mode DRIVE CONTROL provides greater control over output speed and power for greater versatility by delivering 0-850 RPM in Mode 1, 0-2100 RPM in Mode 2 and 0-3000 RPM in Mode 3. Self-Tapping Screw Mode is designed to reduce walking when starting self-tapping screws as well as reduce overdriving, breaking and stripping out screws.

yes, the kit model number is 2573-22
Yes. Most Home Depot locations stock this in a kit. Its a great durable impact driver. We use them commercially for years. If you download the home depot app you can find great deals on this tool.
no, this would be considered Gen II.
That would be a technical question that the factory would need to address. I can tell you it is a great tool that works in many different applications.
Sorry for the lame question. I watched a few video reviews and a guy broke the lugs on a Dodge at 165 ft-lbs. Pretty impressive. Take my money, please.
you could use this for lawn mower/four wheeler repair work
The boot is only compatable with models M18 2754-20, 2755-20, and 2755B-20.
Don’t know about a boot. But it’s a great impact because you can adjust the force down for those times you need to be delicate and still want to use a driver
part number is 49-12-0011
yes, this does have reverse
Ummm duh ..... of course it does
Yes. Very powerful too.

Yes
No, this does not have a variable speed trigger.
Yes you can
The following battery models are compatible batteries: 48-11-1815, 48-11-1828, 48-11-1840, 48-11-1850, 48-11-1820.
This and any Milwaukee M18 tool will work with any Milwaukee M18 battery. Not sure what you mean by previous generation - the M18 line has been around for going on 10 years, I'd say. It will not work with the V-series batteries that came before that.
18v no problem
The numbered dial at the chuck would have been the clutch settings on either one of the drill/drivers or on one of the screwdriver models, not an impact driver. This impact has 1800 in/lbs of peak torque, and will drive most any fastener you would want to into wood without effort. It is a pro-grade tool with a ton of power. The drive control modes just provide different speed and power ranges for different applications.
Buy an impact driver, sounds as if you're using a drill/driver
Clicking????? As in it impacting????? The selector is for torque reduction, 1 is for like door hinges.... set it and it won't over torque 5 lbs I think ,2 is for drywall doesn't over sink, 3 drive it home, 4 kinda funky starts slow then speeds up kinda weird ..... great tool
