Thank you for your inquiry. There are no markings or stickers, but there is a coating on the pipe. Depending on your project the pipe may need to be cleaned and sealed. Please see http://pipe-decor.com/homepage/clean-and-seal/ for tips on how to clean & seal pipe for projects.
The pipe I bought was not in anytime protective covering so yes, there were some marks on the pipe but you have to keep in mine it’s an industrial type pipe even thought it’s called decorative.
The ID of ½” pipe is 0.62”. The OD of ½” pipe is 0.84”
