AnswersI suppose it doesn't meet code in certain places for use inside. Perhaps the garden hose thread designates it as being an outdoor fitting.

I was looking for a 1 1/2 inch male to 3/4 inch male connector to connect a low pressure pump to a garden hose. I could not find it.
So i bought this 3/4" nipple and a 1-1/2 in. x 3/4 in. PVC Sch. 40 Reducer Bushing.
Now, joining them together, I have what I wanted: the 1 1/2 inch male to 3/4 inch male connector.
