            Over 30 years old
My late husband brought a compressor into our relationship in 1992. I'm assuming he had it many years before that. He mainly used it for painting HO scale trains and putting air in tires. For the last 15 years since he passed away I have used it to put air in my tires. I live in Chicago and this compressor has always sat in the garbage. I have never thought twice about it because it always works for me. The reason I'm writing this review is because I (till today) had no idea who it was made by until my friend was saying he is looking for a compressor. I tell him I have this compressor from my husband but have no idea who makes it but I'll take pictures and send them to you. I figured as old as this compressor is they probably are out of business. Boy was I wrong. I was so glad to find out that Campbell Hausfeld is still in business. This is a good compressor. I hope never to replace this once but if so I won't think twice about what brand to buy.

Lives up to its quiet claims; well built.
I habent yet put this compressor through its paces usage-wise; that will come soon. I doubt it will disappoint based on my evaluation this far ad the other reviews. If it does, I will post an update. Thus far, though, it certainly lives up to the positive reviews and its claims of being super quiet. Using an iPhone decibel meter app, i measured (outdoors) 77db at the unit, 73 at 6ft away (on concrete patio) from motor side, and 68 at 6ft away on tank side. Close enough for me! I was almost thinking it was a big fail but realized I had failed to install BOTH air inlet filters. I mistakenly thought the second was a spare. Once both were installed, it quieted down considerably. If saving your eardrums is important to you, this compressor will certainly satisfy!

Very nice portable compressor! It only weighs 30 pounds and is very light and easy to carry with built in handle. I was truly amazed at how very quiet this air compressor is. It has two gauges, one for tank pressure and the other is for line pressure with a nice regulator. It has a drain under neath and is very easy to get and and drain. The compressor has a quick disconnect for easy air hose connections. All around great portable compressor for taking up north on trips.

I needed a compressor that I could use to start working on my finished basement. My other compressors are either too big, or too awkward to bring up and down steps, so I figured this would be a good fit for what I am looking to do. First off, the compressor is light, and really does feel like a suitcase when you carry it. The built in handle is positioned in the perfect place for someone to grab quickly if they need to move it around. Not only that, but it’s extremely light weight, so anyone can carry this without problem. The compressor fills up very fast (about 45 seconds), and there is no leaking from the tank at all. The 0.7 Hp motor also keeps up with a heavy demand when using nail, staple or framing guns. I shot about 30 finish nails in a row just to see if it would keep up, and it did fantastic. As for ease of use, every Campbell Hausfeld compressor I have used was super easy to operate. The large on/off button is located in a very convenient place, and easy to use. The pressure gauges are also very large and easy to read. Even if you have some issue with you sight, the numbers are large enough that you won’t have any issue. The regulator knob is also large and extremely easy to turn. It’s not one of those cheap plastic knobs that are hard to grip, but rather one that conforms to your fingers to make it easy. This little compressor is a beast, and it really keeps up with you on the job. No issues at all for tire inflation, nailing, air brushing or removing lug nuts from my truck. On top of all that, it’s extremely quiet to the point you don’t ever notice it running half the time. I 100% recommend!

Quiet running and well built compressor. I needed a small air compressor to use with a pneumatic stapler and a finish nailer that is quiet enough to use indoors, while still being able to hear surrounding noises, and durable enough to take bangs. This Campbell Hausfeld 1.3 gallon air compressor fits the bill. The suitcase shaped roll cage/ handle protect the compressor motor, tank and coupler as well as making it easier to carry then a pancake style air compressor. It can also fit in between a wall and a work bench or against a wall in a cabinet/ closet. A plastic shroud houses the on/ off push button, outlet pressure dial as well as both pressure gauges also protects the top of compressor motor and tank. A metal plate on bottom protects motor from damage as well. The pictures show a ball cock style valve to drain tank but the compressor I received has a drain plug that you remove to drain the tank. The outlet pressure dial is hard to turn which makes adjusting pressure a little tricky but it may get easier to turn after more use. Campbell Hausfeld should have made it capable of standing up on its end during storage as well.

I have been very happy with my current Campbell Hausfeld (CH) product. Therefore, when this new lightweight/portable electric air compressor by CH became available I immediately requested it. And I have not been disappointed. It is a high quality, well-made, and quite air compressor. The built in handle make the unit easy to transport. The rubber feet along the bottom and back of the unit prevents it from damaging your flooring. The compressor comes with a 1/4 in. quick connect for your air hose. This is an outstanding all purpose air compressor for amateur/home owner and professional use. You should read the owner's manual carefully because there are some dos and don'ts. If I follow the use and care guidance in the owner's manual I expect this unit will provide many years of service. See attached photos. Once again, WELL DONE CH; another outstanding product!

I have had great experiences with Campbell Hausfeld products in the past so I was happy to upgrade my portable compressor to their 1.3 gal unit. Like all their other products I own, this one is very solidly constructed with quality heavy duty material. Yet it is easy to carry around with it's comfortable carry handle, compact design and weight at about 30lbs. Easy to move to all of my projects because of it's small profile and compact design. It is advertised as "quiet" but I was skeptical. But was VERY impressed at just how much quieter than my older units and how it quickly filled to capacity. I anticipate many years of projects with a quality compressor like this. Very happy with product.

The unit does what it says it will do and is a nice sturdy compressor. Rubber handle, light weight and easy to store laying down – more on that later. It’s a good quite tire inflator, “hobby Painting”, stapling, and it does keep pace with projects. Putting up crown molding will be a quiet process unless you and the wife are doing it together. This unit boasts as one of the quietest compressors available. It states a 68 dba, but in my opinion it’s not 50 percent quieter than comparable compressors – at least not what is available today in a one gallon portable compressor. My friend has a Dewalt one gallon and you be hard pressed to tell the difference. Also it sells for less. That also goes for weight – not 50 percent lighter than similar units. However, specifications do show their dual piston pump system does produces 25% more air compared to other 1 HP air compressor motors. No assembly except to screw in air filter. You will need to buy hose attachments separately. They don’t mention the air filter as something to do before operation – that’s weird. One line in pamphlet says screw in filter. You have to look at a diagram to show you where it goes. What I didn’t like was the fact that there is no cord wrap for easy storage. At least have a plug with a built in rubber clip to attach to itself. Also, the drain valve is just a screw with a rubber O-ring. For this price point, it should be ball valve drain which would allow for easier tank draining. As far as compact design, you can’t stand it upright for storage in your garage if you have limited space. You can only lay it down for storage or lean it up against something. This would be fine in the back of a truck. You can’t go wrong as this will do what it’s supposed to do, but in my opinion, there are better design units out there for the same or less money.

This is probably the best little air compressor that I have ever owned. As soon as I took it out of the box, I noticed how light it actually was. All that I had to do was screw on the two exhaust onto the motor, and it was ready to go. The first compliment that I will give this is that it looks good. I know that looks do not determine the performance of the tool, but I do like when my tools looks modern. I also noticed right away how solid that this felt in the hand. It is built very well, and really like that about 90% of this compressor is made of metal (aluminum). There are no wheels on this compressor, but the handle is ergonomically correct, and the stacked tanks make it extremely easy to carry from place to place. You will also get two pressure gauges that come attached to the tank. They can be adjusted using the large regulator knob that is easy to use. This was probably my favorite feature on this compressor as I was able to adjust my psi fast and easy. As for the air release valve, it is located next to the 2nd air gauge on the side of the compressor, and the moister release valve is located on the bottom of the second tank. Both work very well, and are easy to use. My other favorite feature of the compressor is the double air hose connectors that this comes with. You can have two people working off of this at the same time, or have two different nailers hooked up so you don't have to constantly switch between them. As for the noise level, this is the most quiet air compressor that I have ever owned. At only 68db, I had no problem having a conversation with someone as it was running. You can use this in a house or in the garage, and not worry about hearing protection. This is by far my most favorite part of this compressor, and think that Campbell Hausfeld did an amazing job keeping the noise level low. As for maintenance, there is non. Because this is an oil-less compressor, just plug it in to any outlet in the house and you are ready to work. The last thing I will say about this is that I used this with my framing, brad and finish nail guns, and it worked perfectly. I also used this with my impact to remove tractor blades, and even did some painting with it. It is designed for nailing, air brushing and painting smaller objects, so if you are planning to paint a car, look for something bigger. With everything said, I really love this compressor. Its extremely quiet and does what you need it to do around the house. It fills up quickly, and I could not be happier. Video review - https://youtu.be/Jd_-e5iohxk

                Ultra-Quiet Compact Compressor
This Campbell Hausfeld's Quiet is the quietest compressor I have ever heard. The motor is a 1 HP 110V 15A is powerful enough and the compressor is oil maintenance free and oil free. Dual piston pump system is engineered for high performance and durability and it produces 25% more air compared to other 1.0 HP air compressor motors For the size it only weights 38 pounds. To fill up the tank form 0 to 125 PSI it took 1 minute and 48 seconds before is shut off. The compressor turned back on when the pressure reaches below 90 PSI.. The recovery time was only 30 second without any tools attached to it. It comes with two quick disconnects to you can have two items attached to the compressor. When you get it the only thing you have to assemble is the two air filters that screws onto the pump assembly. Just need a wrench to tighten up the two air filters. For a compact unit that powerful to handle most job and being super quiet is a plus in my book. The product is made in China. The unit comes with a 1 year Limited Warranty.
