Will this use 18v battery packs and is it available?
Thank you for your question. No, the DT04Z 12V max CXT® Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Impact Driver, Tool Only uses Makita 12V max CXT® Lithium-Ion batteries and will not accept 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion batteries.
Do you need to pull out on it to load a bit?
There is a sleeve that when pulling on allows a bit to lock in
Thank you for your question. To load a bit into the DT04Z, please follow the directions listed in the included instruction manual. To install the driver bit, pull the sleeve in the direction of the arrow and insert the driver bit into the sleeve as far as it will go. Then release the sleeve to secure the driver bit.
