Savannah Maple Kitchen Cart with Towel Rack

This table is a piece of junk. It took me well over an hour to put together, only to find out that the drawers do not fit. When I reached out to the company, they wrote back, "There are little screws on the drawer glide 'inside the hole' they are pre assemble. Which they do come not perfect. We see this issue all the time where the drawer will hit the top. If you would loosen the screws on the drawer glides and move them down this will fix this issue." This is copied and pasted from the response. They "see this issue all the time," but expect the customer to fix it after spending their own money. Crap product, crap customer service, crap company. Never though I'd miss IKEA so much.

This cart looks great and is wonderfully functional, but had a few assembly quality glitches. Despite the quality problems, I'd still recommend this cart, but I've taken off a star due to these problems. Likes: - Solid wood, with a fantastic look all around from top to bottom. - Drawers for storage. - Open shelves for that industrial look. - Casters (2 lockable) to make it functional and mobile. - Well packed to avoid damage. Dislikes: - Cheap hardware. I've seen much better cam locks on other furniture. - Assembly tolerances can cause some problems. - Drawer hardware could use a bit of an upgrade. The first thing I noticed was how heavy this was. 45.4 kg! That's 100 pounds! It will arrive on your doorstep in a very sturdy carton that is sized 25"x49"x12.5". We had a bit of a struggle getting it in the house. The packing adds a good 10 lbs or more and does the job to protect everything, which is good, because the wood is of excellent quality. Assembly was time consuming and fun, as long as you like that kind of thing. I thought the instructions were very well done. I didn't like the cam locks, they were somewhat cheap and thin. The provided hex wrench also didn't fit the cap bolts well. I used my own wrench which worked better. The hardware could use a bit of an upgrade. All pilot holes were well placed, and everything went together pretty well, until I tried to place the drawers. They didn't fully go in because they interfered with the top! After how smoothly everything went, I was surprised by this glitch (see photos). Basically, the drawer rails, which are pre-installed, were about 2mm too high, or the drawer front was cut a bit fat. That's all the interference I had, maybe 1 or 2 mm, a 1/16" or so. (see photos) One more thing about the drawers. They work OK and have wheels and rails, however, I've seen smoother operating drawers. Again, an upgrade on the hardware (maybe ball bearings) would provide a smoother drawer operation. To solve the drawer interference problem, I added some shims in the form of some old ceiling fan weights. This lifted the top about 1/16". This solved the problem easily, but it shouldn't happened. Alternatively, the rails could have been dropped, but that would have required redrilling. I'm pretty sure Home Styles would have replaced the drawer fronts if I called, but it was easier to just add the shims. Peeking at other reviews, I only saw one other person complain of this, so perhaps my drawer fronts were cut on a bad day and the problem is very rare. In the end, once I got past these little issues, we are very pleased with this new addition to our kitchen. It replaces an rarely used break-nook table with something functional, in what was a very small space anyway. Aside from the extra storage, we look forward to having another place to gather around when friends come to visit and everyone inevitably ends up meeting and talking in the kitchen. Made in Thailand

My wife and I are really happy with our purchase of this product. It is a great addition to our kitchen. Assembly took some time (I'm an old guy) but it was not difficult. Instructions were easy to follow. I took special attention to make sure all joints were tight because I read some reviews complaining about the slidding of the drawers. As a result the drawers glide perfectly. Overall it is a great product that looks much more expensive than it is.

In many ways this product exceeded my expectations. It is a lovely and valuable addition to my kitchen providing much needed additional storage and display. I would have given this product a five star rating except there is a flaw in the manufacturing templates that required a redrilling of the two pull out drawers. A simple change in the template for two of the predrilled screws would have allowed for a faster and better installation. Luckily we had the tools and expertise to make the needed adjustment, but it is something that needs to be reviewed and revised. Otherwise I am delighted with this unit and impressed with how quickly we received delivery.

Although this cart came totally unassembled, the finished product is magnificent! We purchased this last week for a breakroom at a university, and everyone who sees the cart is very impressed with it. Several people asked where we purchased it and plan to get one for their own homes. The cart is very sturdy with plenty of storage space, and the stainless steel top adds a functional and elegant finish. Great value. We love it!!!

First of all, Home Depot sells this product for half the price that other retailers do. But there is nothing "cheap" about the quality of the Savannah Kitchen Cart. It is so well built and an absolutely gorgeous piece of furniture! I agree with other reviews that it takes time to put together but it's not difficult and well worth it. And the stainless steel top is such a classy touch! I very rarely review product but this is an exceptionally wonderful find.

Our kitchen is short on cabinets and counterspace and this provides a great amount of extra storage and work surface. But the piece is also really nice to look at. The stainless steel is cool but the base makes it look like a real piece of furniture and not just some pieces of metal. If you are putting it up against a wall rather than setting it up as an island (ie, if you will only be able to access the shelves from one side), the shelves are very deep and somewhat short - that can make it hard if you're using them to store lots of different things, like dry goods, cans, etc. But there are a dozen different sliding trays and baskets that you can get at the Container Store to fix that problem.

I had spent most of the summer looking for a cart that would fill the space that my chest freezer had filled and also provide storage and flexible work space. Looks great in the space I had available. I placed baskets on middle shelf and larger pans that I use on my stove top. My kitchen was remodeled but not fancy so this was a special touch.

Love my new kitchen cart! But be aware that it is not white. It is off-white.
