This hardware set includes a 96-inch track, designed for 8-foot openings. While the track itself isn't adjustable, you can trim it down to fit a slightly smaller opening if needed. However, since your opening is between 7 and 8 feet, the 96-inch track should work as is.
The total length is 72". If you want to complete open without blocking the door opening, then you would need a longer track. This also depends on the width of your door.
As far as I know it only comes in 6 feet.
Yes- I installed it on a 44" opening- and it covers the opening just fine...
No. Just remember to secure the track properly to the wall to distribute the doors weight before you hang the door.
No, The weight of my wood door removes any possible wobble. It hangs straight down and is guided open and closed by a small bracket on the bottom.
No. Properly installed the door operates smoothly. Two or three things to remember. #1 When you mount the bracket to the wall, make sure you are aligned with the wall studs to anchor your rail. #2 Depending on how thick your door frame wood is (if you build you own doors), you must make sure the clearance between the backside of your door and the wall, is sufficient. If your using 1" X 4" framing on both the front and back of the door (for added strength), you may have to use thicker spacers for your top rail, or, mount your door straps on the inside of your door (toward the wall), as opposed the the standard outside mount. I build my doors with 1" X 4 " framing and regular barn siding. Because the barn siding was lighter weight and more flexible, I framed on the outside and inside so, I had to adjust the clearance for the walls.
Not if you be sure to put the supporting bolts for brackets into studs The door may be heavy and the track needs to be firmly attached to allow the door to slide free and easily
When installed correctly, there is no wobble. Works great.
We haven’t had any problems
Yes, my door is about four by eight.
Yes, my opening is a little under 4ft by a couple inches. The door I used is 46 inches that we built from scratch.
Yes it will, you will just have to cut the track to suit your needs. If the door itself is about 2 inches thick you might have to buy longer bolts. I hope this answers your question.
Yes, this product will work for a single door with a 4-foot opening as long as the door is 1-1/4 in. to 2 in. thick.
