20V MAX XR with Tool Connect Cordless Brushless 1/4 in. Impact Driver (Tool Only)

This thing is high tech. I started with the tool connect tags to keep track of my inventory, and loved the security and piece of mind it gave me. Not to mention when everyone knows you're tools are essentially lo-jacked, no one attempts to walk off the job with them. Loved the whole idea. So Naturally when I decided to buy myself a new impact driver, I was excited to see what else the Tool Connect line could do. Unbelievable. This puppy can do everything but find my keys..(had to add a tag to my keyring for that.) I can look to see the battery level when I'm at the truck so my guys don't have to climb off the roof if it dies. It alerts me and I grab one when I'm nearby. Keeps them moving. If their building cabinets or something requiring an easy touch to prevent slipping or stripping, I can have them hold the button for a second and dial the speed or precision drive impact delay exactly how it should be for optimal performance without being in the same room... for 3 different settings. If its a newer operator not familiar with the settings, the home setting is just flat out the best performing impact I've used in a straightforward fallback setting at a button. Even tracks temp, trigger pulls, time operating, and internal function and coin battery, as well as tracking and last seen. Lend mode shuts down after 10 hours so neighbors actually return it promptly unless they need.n expensive paper weight. Just awesome. No complaints whatsoever with the tool. Just make sure you don't let your phone die with the "Disable If Out of Range" feature enabled when your hanging drywall on a bathroom ceiling unless you have another driver close. Bluetooth goes and the tool locks down when enabled. But I can hardly blame the driver for my absent mindedness or for a feature functioning perfectly. Beyond anything I'd imagined. Upgrading my whole crew to them. Out did yourself on this one DeWalt.

Order just arrived minus the bag shown in the picture. It came in a hard case that will never get used which is one reason I purchased the particular product. Seems to be a running theme in these reviews.

This is a good impact, but compared to the previous brushed motor model, it's lacking in torque. Using Tek screws into 1/8" to 1/4" steel is definitely not as easy as the previous model. The motor on this one also gets HOT too, almost too hot to the touch if used under stress for long enough. After maybe 1 hour it needs to sit if doing a heavy workload. Previous model could go for hours, and at that point the battery would go out before the drill gets worn.

Smooth power, ergonomic fittings. The tool connect and the adjustability is wonderful. Down to manipulating the led. This is a must have if you want the top end impact driver also being USA made

Driver,for the power it delivers, is surprisingly lightweight with battery and feels well balanced.As a test drove some 3/8 galvanized lags in YP treated and the tool drove them without hesitation. Easy adjust speed option up top of base to easily adapt to different material. 3 bright LED lights are bright and handy in dark areas.This tool includes Dewalt Tool Connect Bluetooth connectivity which helps deter theft,allows tracking and management of tools. App is free and after a slight learning curve works well. Dewalt batteries are outstanding and included charger completes the package. Worthwhile investment in a professional grade tool.

Very satisfied with it, works great, it's lightweight, feel strong, 4 different speed, slow, medium, fast and home button for custom speed from your phone settings. Bluetooth works great, you can turn it on and off from your phone, you can have it turn off automatic when is out of range. You can have it program to turn it off certain days (by calender) and hour. The GPS give you close location, not spot right on, but it's close enough. After two weeks using that drill I am really glad I bought it. Even if goes missing it will lock it self and I can check the location on it later on. It's register for one user, so It can't be override, unless I approve it. That's nice, that should stop stealing tools on job side, they will become useless after that.

I was given this as a Christmas gift two years ago. Love the quick change feature. Able to change working tips with ease.
