Bring decades of authentic character to any wall with reclaimed barn wood from East Coast Rustic. Each board is salvaged from real barns and structures, then precision-cut to a 3-1/2 in. width and lightly sanded so the face is smooth to the touch while keeping its original color and grain. This is genuine solid reclaimed wood, a mix of salvaged species, not a thin printed or peel-and-stick veneer. One case covers 20 sq. ft. with random lengths from 6 in. to 48 in., so you lay the boards out like flooring and design your own pattern before installing with construction adhesive or nails. A square edge and smooth back make installation straightforward for DIYers and contractors alike. This is a natural, unsealed finish, left raw to show the true character of the reclaimed wood. Color and grain vary from board to board, and you may find small nail holes and natural imperfections that are part of the authentic look. Blend planks from several cartons as you install for the most balanced result, and order about 10% extra for cuts.Perfect for feature walls, headboards, under-bar fronts, kitchen backsplashes, ceilings, and retail or restaurant interiors. Residential and commercial use.

No I would not install on the floor. The boards have a sawcut finish and they will vary slightly in thickness and texture. Perfect for wall installation but to try and use for flooring you will need to lay the boards in a bed of adhesive, similar to how you glue down floor tiles. Make sure adhesive is suitable for wood. Then the floor would have to be sanded even with a floor sander. That would remove all the patina and change the look of the wood dramatically and really defeat the purpose of the look and feel. Leaving it natural would be a lot of splinters in your feet.
Yes it can. However we recommend the planks be glued down with an exterior rated construction adhesive followed by at least three coats of exterior clear finish applied as per manufacturers instructions.
It's really the matter of asking yourself which style you would enjoy. Do you want to find a way to have it recessed with some type of cover, or go the easy route and pick a nice outlet cover that best matches the wood for the outlet or light switch.
When I do a wall I personally remove cover. Cut around it and then place it back so it is on top of the wood. Looks good.
I'm sorry we don't offer butcher blocks.
Hi there. Currently we only have our unfinished. The finished had a thin layer of seal on it that made it feel a little smoother. Thanks Rob
Hi there. Our wood can be used for back splash but should have 3 coats of a quality acrylic or polyurethane finish applied. Hope that helps Rob
Yes you can. Use an appropriate adhesive for concrete and wood and in place of nails use heavy duty hot glue to hold planks in place while glue dries. Hot glue sets very quickly usually in a few seconds.
Hi! Sure we have clients who use it outside, on deck areas, around doors, and much more! Hope that helps. Rob
