When connecting it do we need a washer?

I have this orbit and it has always leaked at the shut off valves . There are no washers and I do not live in town.. I am 25 miles to town to run and buy another one .How do I fix this issue? the black shut off valves are very small . no place to put was

This has 4 shut off valves and they all leak. How can they be stopped from leaking? They did not have any washers they are very small.

My Hose diameter for my Swan 100 foot Hose and my Vevor Hose Reel is 5/8. Is the hose diameter different from the actual fitting connector? It says in the ad that this is 3/4. I'm asking if this will work with my setup.
I understand the ball valves opening might be 3/8th and not 3/4 or 5/8ths.
This manifold is designed to be used with 3/4 inch hose connections, however 5/8 inch hoses can be attached with adapters.
