No they can't be used in the oven! You need to get an appliance bulb that's rated for the unit you will be using it in. They are generally a 40 watt small clear bulb that can withstand high heat or very cold temps.

I am using them that way. I am not sure if I should, but there have been no problems. They light up fine in the cold, and the rain and snow don't seem to bother them any.

It would probably work--at least for a while. But there are many bulbs designed for that specific purpose, and I'd recommend finding and using one of those.

I just received two different answers from customer support to my question, "can these be used in a refrigerator" - one was yes - other stated that these bulbs cannot be used below -18degC - or 0 degrees F. I was planning on using them in the refrigerator (3degC, 38degF), not he freezer. which answer correct
Hello, These bulbs are great for lighting applications with vanities, table lamps, pendant lights, etc. however, not rated to withstand temperatures below -18C, per specification on the back of the package.
Yes, the smaller size works great. As long as the humidity does not get swamp like than I believe no issues for these bulbs
