E-Z Coil inserts, also known as wire or helical threaded inserts, quickly repair or reinforce tapped holes in soft metals. E-Z Coil Inserts are made from 18-8 stainless steel wire. This provides strong internal threads that are corrosion resistant and withstand temperatures to 800°F.

What application would I need for a 8-40 x 0.254 screw? Thank you!

Will it work on my bike pedal arm?
E-Z LOK inserts required a tapped (threaded) hole for installation, so the material needs to be thick enough to be threaded the full length of the insert.
This is likely a dumb question, but I'm going to ask anyway. Can I utilize this product for my stripped out spark plug holes in my Ford?
If your spark plug screws into a 1/4-28 thread, you can use this insert for the repair.
When you choose which E-Z Coil to purchase, do I use the size of the finished thread I need?
Choose the E-Z Coil size that matches your screw/bolt size. If you intend to use an M6-1.0 fastener, select the M6-1.0 E-Z Coil kit.
Believe so you'll be drilling that out And putting the Healy coil in there And your original bolt should thread in. I used it on my transmission In 3 spots to fasten on my is my trans pan. it worked great. Don't forget to use the guide so you don't drill too far.

No. These inserts are designed to repair a tapped hole and accept an M10-1.25 bolt.
How do you know what size bolt this kit is used for?
