Is the fan supposed to run when the oven is in BAKE mode or just when it is in one of the convection modes?

However, this unit is equipped with a cooling fan which may be heard rudding during all cooking modes. The cooling fan is designed to regulate the temperature of the unit during and after cooking.
Is there any way to child lock this unit?
