Hi Judy, the unfinished wood is a light natural color. I don't see yellow. It is similar to white oak or maple. To seal and protect the table I recommend using a Non-Yellowing Polyurethane, Minwax Polycrylic finish or General Finishes Flat out Flat.
Can a person order an additional unfinished extension leaf for this table
