Do these bulbs come with a remote control?
Thank you for your question, the bulbs do not come with a remote control.
They can be used in lamps with a closed globe. I have seen that some say that they are not and I suppose that it is because of the heat generated by the buls that it could cause it to break.
My experience with bulbs that specify an open fixture is that the electronics that are associated with dimming can't stand the heat and fail prematurely.
Thank you for your question, the unit can be used with a cover, however we do not suggest the unit be used with an airtight application.
Why does it say 60W equivalent, but only 500 lumens? This does not match references I find for incandescent equivalent, which is easily over 800 lumens, and previous LED bulbs at 60W equivalent have been 810 lumens.

I need a non dimmable globe light bulb.

Why aren't the bulb colors consisent from box to box? I need 4 bulbs, orderd 2 boxes of 3 each, and found that even though both boxes are marked the same (3oooK) one set is decidedly a different color. Looks more like 2700K to me. ugh....
