12,000 BTU (DOE) Window Air Conditioner Cools 550 sq. ft. with Dehumidifier and Remote in White

It cools well enough. Two major complaints. 1 - it is so noisy, even on lowest setting. 2 - the controls are completely unintuitive lots of symbols and buttons. Need the manual to understand. I would not purchase again.

The air conditioner does a good job cooling and dehumidifying small spaces. I use it in an approx. 114 sq foot room. The noise level isn't bad at the lowest fan setting. I found it bothersome for the first few days sleeping with it on, but I got used to it. The bigger issue is the light. Being a day sleeper, I need to block out light and the styrofoam inside the unit allows light to bleed right through. It wouldn't take much for them to put light blocking inside, but I suppose they count on most people to sleep at night. The thermostat also seems to have trouble reading the room temperature correctly. It thinks it's reached the temperature when it's way off. It seems to happen mostly when it's cool outside, so that could be affecting the reading. You can work around the issue by using the "isense" feature of the remote. Instead of the unit reading the room temperature, the remote sends a signal to the AC of the temperature where the remote is located. I recommend purchasing extra foam insulation for use around the unit. It doesn't come with enough. I also purchased 1 inch rigid foam panel insulation to improve the insulation around the unit and block light. It's cheap and you get enough that you can make several mistakes with your cuts and have enough for do-overs.

Even though it came with a big dent that pressed into the compressor it works. I would have returned it however, the reason i opted for delivery was due to how heavy it is, i have no way to get it back to home depot for return.

PERFECT 5000 BTU a/c for the kitchen area, which pushes the cold air into the main living area of the house! I don't have to lower the central a/c just to cool off the one place that's always hot! Although the controls aren't described very well in the directions (or on the panel), it's easy to figure out. The panel has symbols instead of "L, M, H", for example. Installation is a little more difficult for us since we don't have "regular" windows, but it's standard like other window units. Also has a heat function, that I tested for a second, and dehumidification. VERY pleased! Tried to upload a video, but program won't let me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little window unit gets our back Arizona room surprisingly icy for its size. It’s lightweight, so instillation is super easy. I will say it’s a bit noisy, so I wouldn’t put it anywhere you want to sleep; but that’s to be expected with most ac units. The filter lets you know when it needs to be replaced, you just slide it out and clean it with water and pop it right back in. It has a remote control that makes it easy to use from anywhere in the room. Pretty handy for a 2 bedroom apt or a house that needs extra cooling!

This seems like a functional energy efficient air conditioner and I’ve always been impressed by the Keystone brand. It’s exciting that it came with a remote which makes life a bit easier! I’ll be updating to comment on the noise level as soon as it’s installed. The design looks great amongst any decor and will be greatly loved. The manual is easy to follow and all the parts are included. Yay no missing parts!!!

The AC was damaged in shipping I have pictures. But it works.

Bought because the older identical one finally gave out ater many years of use. It works identical to m old one so no new learning needed. Also fit perfectly in window.
