Home Depot could not provide the services I needed to put this unit together ,however I hired a co worker to do it for me

This is a piece of crap! Very labor intensive to assemble. Many of the parts arrived with damage that seem to have happened in the factory, not related to shipping, although some of the damage must have happened during shipping. Their quality control must be non-existant! Don't buy this item that needs to be shipped from Mexico.

I got this thinking It would be perfect for ny bedroom. The size and colour of it worked well with what I already have. After paying 500 for it, I expected some level of quality. Maybe a step above Ikea. Thats not really what you get here. Brand new, out of the box, and I have defects in their pieces, theres areas that have been lightly damaged and I wasnt expecting real wood for this, but I did expect mive than just what looks like black ducktape. Also, the instructions are confusing.

It looks great once out together. However, the hinges on the desk fell off the next day, injuring my child!!!

I was looking for a desk to serve as a small contained 'working' area. This desk is exactly what I was looking for, the size is perfect for my needs and I love that it holds 2 size file drawers. My husband put it together in a few hours and it is very sturdy.

It’s an awful product! It took forever to assemble! Some holes weren’t predrilled, and some instructions were confusing. We finally got it together and realized some of the wood is splitting (where we didn’t drill anything in!) Price was also lowered by $120 a week after purchasing! I don’t recommend this product whatsoever and don’t even want it now, but it took forever to assemble so I’m not taking it apart.

I love this desk ! It is perfect for what I need ! I was looking for a desk that included two file drawers and extra storage space which it has both plus the pull down writing surface The size is perfect and it came well packaged with no damage. It took awhile to put together by myself but directions were clear and when done everything lined up perfect. A fine looking piece of furniture !

It look a while to put together but that's to be expected. I did read the reviews so I knew I had to seperate/count the hardware before I started. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and I really do love it. I wanted a computer armoire but the ones I like have been sold out for months and frankly I don't think they make them anymore.. so I had this desktop in my cart for a while and was apprehensive about a secretary desk holding up with daily use but the chains and desk are sturdy and I wish I would have purchased it sooner. If you're on the fence just buy it.

I absolutely love my new HOME DECORATORS COLLECTION BRADSTONE WHITE SECRETARY DESK! Assembly was pretty straightforward, but it was extremely heavy (138 lbs.), and for that reason, required 2 people to put it together. It was very well packaged, and the hardware was well marked in clear plastic bags. That being said, one of the bags, which was clearly marked, was completely empty, missing all 14 screws. In the manual, they were listed as “short flat head screws” with no size listed! There were other items with the same description, which were different sized “short flat head screws”, so I was forced to work around those steps until I could figure out exactly what I needed to complete the assembly. I called the number on the instruction manual for missing parts, and spent the next hour and 20 minutes trying to get them, to no avail! They did offer to send me another complete unit, but I told the girl that was a bit drastic and declined. Once assembled, it was absolutely gorgeous! It has plenty of storage space for organization, as well as adding beauty to my home! I would not hesitate to recommend this unit for anyone who is looking for a great desk at a great price!

I read a number of negative reviews for a previous version of this product, and am happy to report that the finish and alignment issues appear to be resolved. I did have one place where the finish was damaged (on the top, back, center), and I had to put in 1/16" shims behind the drawer guides for the top drawer to get it to work properly, but everything else fit perfectly. The parts were all present, the hardware was all there (no spares, however - don't be casual about how you take care of the bags). The depth is only a bit over a foot, so at 60" high, be sure to secure the top so that pressure on the desk surface doesn't cause the unit to tip over. The unit is well-packed (see the photo of all the packing). The instructions are quite clear (better than most). I followed the instructions exactly so that I could report on how long the build took. I came in at 4 hours for the whole thing, but that included making and installing the shims for the drawer. The drawer guides are OK, but hot especially high quality, so the drawer action is a bit stiff. I'm sure it will loosen as it is used. The material (except for the doors) is 1/2" painted MDF, so it will not stand much abuse, but it looks nice and should remain so unless carelessly used.
