Questions & Answers
how long, time wise, for 100 sq ft
Hey Dick Thank you for your question on using Miracle-Gro® Garden Feeder 1lb covers 400 sq ft. and dispenses in about 10-12 minutes. 1/2 lb cover 200 sq ft per label instructions. You wouldn't need to spray a 100 sq ft area for the recommended timing.
I have 2 small bags of Miracle Grow that have become wet .... how do I safely dispose of the product. Can I use on lawn?
Miracle-Gro Water Soluble All Purpose Plant Food can still be used even if it becomes wet. For disposal instructions, please reach out to your local solid waste company. Plant foods are not recommended for lawns because their NPK ratio is not optimized for turfgrass needs.
Will this work with tomatoes
Thank you for contacting us. Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder with Water Soluble All Purpose Plant Food can be used on all edibles, including fruit/nut trees, vegetables, and herbs.
Is yours not working? Here's why: The "How To" picture on the Home Depot website is misleading. Before using, you must unscrew the container of fertilizer and remove the plastic film, THEN attach it to the hose and squeeze the trigger.
Thank you for providing your feedback about the Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder. We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us. Although water in sprayer jar will still be blue, it is considered empty when you see only a very small amount of granules in the bottom of the feeder. This will occur after about 12 minutes of spraying. If there is anything we can do to help you have a great experience, please don't hesitate to contact our Consumer Services team at 888-295-6902 for assistance. We're always here to help!
While watering my plants in between feedings or only wanting to feed certain plants is there a way to just spray water? Is the feeder only something you attach to the hose once a week? I frequently lightly feed my annuals every other day but not the rest
Hey Chris! The Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder has three settings - Off, Feed & Water, and Water Only. The Water Only setting allows for you to water the plants without siphoning fertilizer. If you have any further questions about product use, we're happy to help. Please give our Consumer Services Team a call at 877-220-3089.
Will this plant food stop the leaves from turning yellow?

After filling & attaching to hose and spraying the entire yard, the tank is still full & dark green. Is this thing actually working?
Hello Mary. We are concerned to hear this. We would like the opportunity to gather some additional information and offer assistance. Please reach out to our Consumer Services team at 888-295-6902 for assistance.
Question: did you remove the lid pull off the plastic and then attach it to the hose?
try turning it on
can you use Miracle grow granular plant food in the hose attached sprayer as long as it's fully dissolved
The Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder is designed to hold 1-1/4 pounds of Miracle-Gro. All of our Miracle-Gro All Purpose Plant Food packages are sold packaged in multiple 1-1/4 pound reload packages, except our 8-ounce size and our 1.5-pound size. Therefore, all you have to do, is open the box or pail, remove a 1-1/4-pound reload packet and dump it into the feeder jar. Reattach the jar to the sprayer and attach your garden hose. Turn the water on; the jar will fill in 4 minutes and your sprayer will be ready to go. Do not fill the jar with water at your faucet. The sprayer works on hydraulic pressure. Filling it at the sink does not pressurize the jar properly.

Sometimes the sprayer is actually siphoning product, because the spray is clear and the container remains blue. We suggest spraying it into a white or yellow bucket to see the color.
