Klein Tools MM720 Multimeter is an automatically ranging true root mean squared (TRMS) digital multimeter that measures AC/DC voltage, AC/DC current, and resistance. It can also measure temperature, capacitance, frequency, duty-cycle, diodes and continuity. It features a high visibility, reverse contrast LCD display with an optical sensor to automatically optimize viewability in dark or bright ambient lighting.

Why are y'all putting answers to questions about the MM420 under the "questions" section for the MM720. It seems like customers are being misled, given vague information, and/or misdirected. Why is there no mention of battery count/type, or warranty.

Does this allow use of a K-Type temp probe (like the one pictures) or does it use something different? If so does it come with the temperature probe or do you need to purchase that separately?
Klein Tools Cat. No. MM720, Digital Multimeter, TRMS Auto-Ranging, 1000V, Temp, Low Impedance, uses a K-type thermocouple for temperature measurements. The meter includes a K-type thermocouple with adapter, so a temperature probe is included and does not need to be purchased separately. The MM720 can measure temperatures from -40° to 1832°F
Does this multimeter take tempature readings?
Yes, the Klein Tools CAT No. MM420 Digital Multimeter, TRMS Auto-Ranging, 600V, Temp, takes temperature readings via the K-type thermocouple.
Does the MM720 have the capability to display 10 volt range with resolution 0.001?
The Klein Tools Cat. No. MM720 1000-Volt Digital Multi-Meter has a 6V range with 0.001 resolution; after 6V it jumps to 60V with lower resolution.
Can this be used on cars, trucks and heavy duty vehicles
None of our clamp/multimeters measure parasitic draw, dwell time, RPM, or pulse width, but we are working on one that does in the future! If you do not need those measurements - in theory, yes, the Klein Tools MM720 Digital Multimeter can be used for automotive work.
