Hi Eleanor, these are not machine washable, if soaked the yarn will absorb moisture and create irreversible creases/waves on the rug. Just yarn is incorporated into the backing. For care, you can use a vacuum with beater head and if there are stains you can blot them with clorox wipes and then soak up the moisture with a paper towel right away so it doesn't penetrate into the backing of the rug.

Hi Bert, they cannot be trimmed as the yarn will unravel. The edges of the rugs are serged. Trimming the rug may cause the yarns to come loose; therefore, we do not recommend trimming

Hi Mark, we do not make either of these items but based on review, the outdoor tape is more expensive and shorter in length. It is wider by 1 inch and likely the reason why it is pricier since can be used in outdoor product. Since our stair treads are for indoor use only, item 100658266 may seem more practical. We do not have experience with either one and looking at few reviews of 100658266, there are many positive comments and also have photos of stair tread use and the tape so this may be the best option.

Please buy those separately. You can get padding from Home Depot that is a larger size and then cut it down to the size of the stair treads. The more permanent solution is to nail these into the floor but that would create issues with the floor if you remove the treads.

It will not - you should secure the tread to avoid slippage. pad is recommended or a more permanent solution is to use a nail - this would affect the wood step though after remoal.

There are a few methods to secure them; from non slips padding (as we recommend) to special tape to small nails/staples.
