Questions & Answers
What kind of shade are use for lanais to keep the rain out if they are just screen
Hi! While this particular shade is designed for UV protection and light filtering, it is not water-resistant and is intended for indoor use only. To block rain on a screened lanai, we recommend looking for outdoor-rated roller shades made from waterproof or weather-resistant materials, such as vinyl-coated fabric or PVC. These are specifically designed to handle exposure to moisture, humidity, and direct sun. Home Depot carries several outdoor roller shade options, try searching for “exterior roller shades” to find the right fit.
For an inside casing width of 42-3/8", what product width of shade should I order? Is the 42" product width the fabric width or the total width of the unit? Thanks.
The listed 42" width refers to the total width of the shade, including the mounting brackets. The fabric panel itself will be approximately 1-1/4" narrower. For a 42-3/8" inside mount, a 42" shade will fit well. Thanks for your question!
The shade is 74" long. My windows are 39" high (casing to casing). Would these work by leaving the excess length above when the shade is extended to 39"
Yes! Our cordless roller shades are designed to stop at any length you prefer, so you can easily extend the shade to your 39" window height and leave the remaining fabric rolled up at the top. The excess fabric stays neatly hidden inside the roller. No adjustments needed—just pull and stop where you want.
How does the shade stay down when mounted outside?
The internal spring mechanism locks the shade into your desired closed position. Simply tug and release the shade to roll it up
Is it possible to get the shades in longer lengths auch as 88"?
Hi Jim, Our maximum length is 74"L. Thank you for your interest in our product!
Does this window blind, Slate Cordless UV Blocking Reflective Polyester Solar Screen Roller Shade, come in a 73" or 74" wide option. Thank you.
The largest width we offer is 73"W. Please remember the size you choose from the drop down menu is the total width and includes the size of the mounting brackets. The fabric panel will measure in at 1-1/4"" less than the total width.
can they be cut to a custom width
These shades cannot be modified after purchase. Please choose the size you would like from the drop-down list. Please remember the size you order is the total product width and includes the mounting brackets. The fabric panel will be 1-1/4" shorter than the product width.
Can these shades be used outside in a screened in porch.
