What is the operable door width on the 46.5” model?

Before ordering your GW shower enclosure it is essential your shower is tiled as your measurements will change once tiling and grout are in place Glass Warehouse offers a unique modular system making our showers as close to purchasing a custom-made shower, without the higher cost. The sizes of the door and stationary panels will vary depending on what stock is available at the time of receiving your order as we custom select the panels due to stock availability. Typically for the 46.5" size model we would send a door (walk through) between 25" - 26" with a fixed or hinged panel (stationary) to suit between 21" to 20". The remaining 1/2" is allocated to hardware. Our door sizes range from 24" to 30", in 1/4” increments. If you require a specific door panel size, before placing your order, please contact our team directly at: inquiries@glasswarehouse.us where they will provide instructions on how to do so. With this fit in a 47” opening?

If your enclosure is tiled and your minimum tile to tile width measurement is 47” then you would order the 47" model. The rule when ordering a GW dual panel system is to not order anything above your minimum tile to tile width opening. If you order anything above your minimum width measurement the shower will not fit. Will the door center itself if installed with a swing in and out capability? Do the hinges take care of this? A few doors I have looked at have a magnetic strip at the joint to maintain alignment in the closed position!

My minimum tile to tile width is 42” at the bottom but the top is 42 1/8”. Which size do I need to purchase?

We had this glass door installed about 6 months ago, we are now noticing that the bottom seals are peeling away, is this to be expected? Is there something we can do to fix it so we don’t end up with leaks out of the shower?

My minimum measurement is 45 5/8” (bottom measurement). Top and middle measurements are the same at 46”. Based on the description it sounds like I should order the 45 1/2” model. Is this correct? Will there be a gap because it’s not precise?

We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with the sweep on your shower door. This item is made of plastic and with regular exposure to water and chemicals found in tap water will of course deteriorate and need to be replaced. This will be the case with all other shower companies also. With that being said, the sweeps included with your order are under warranty for 12 months.
