BrassCraft 1/2 in. nom compression inlet x 3/8 in. OD compression outlet 1/4-turn matte black straight valve controls water flow to household plumbing fixtures - faucets, toilets, dishwashers, icemakers, washing machines, etc. The straight valve is most often used where the water pipe enters the room from the floor. With a 90-degree turn of the valve handle, you are able to stop the flow of water leading to the plumbing fixture, allowing for maintenance and repair without shutting off the water to the entire home. The matte black finish brings an elegant aesthetic to any home.

is this a push to connect inlet
No, this would be a 1/2" nominal or 5/8" OD compression that can be used on copper piping or PEX piping if you use a tube insert to stiffen the PEX pipe. The stiffener would be BrassCraft part number: TS-8X If you are unsure how to install a compression stop would suggest calling a licensed plumber.
