What converter I need to use it in Europe

    Answer This Question

Hi, Ali. To use the Milwaukee M18 18-Volt Lithium-Ion XC Starter Kit with One 5.0Ah Battery and Charger in Europe, you will need a voltage converter that can handle the power requirements of the charger. The Milwaukee M18 & M12 Rapid Charger included in the starter kit operates on 120V AC, which is standard in North America. European countries typically use 230V AC, so a step-down voltage converter is necessary.

      Answer This Question

No these chargers are designed for 110V

      By|Nov 24, 2025

Hey Seandre! No, you cannot use 220V on the M18 Milwaukee charger. The M18 chargers are designed to operate with an input voltage of 120V AC. Using a voltage higher than specified can damage the charger and pose safety risks.

This is my 4th Milwaukee surge drill I have bought and used. This is the main drill I use for work. It’s powerful and on the quieter side which is excellent. Love this drill.

The only thing it does well is overheats
Wow, that was impressively bad. My pocket rocket 3453-20 drives better than this one, albeit louder. The protective silicone cover has decided to abandon chat all by itself. The bits are taken out by the screws. Overheats after a couple dozen screws. Lacks torque, tries to fis that with the hammer action and fails spectacularly. The only impressive thing is the minimal noise level however the rest can not justify this part. Very sad that it is out of the return window.

Slower than 2 year used and abused standard m18
The m18 fuel surge is definitely quieter than most impacts but it’s seriously down on power , I bought it to replace a standard m18 that’s lost power over time from daily sheet metal work and heavy hits like dropping off a scissor lift and is on its last legs , I compared the two and the surge is about a second slower with 5/16 screws and definitely has less power,if you’re looking for something slow, useless in some cases, but quiet and comfortable then it’s for you

                                  Can’t sink timberlocks
I’ve been a carpenter for 18 years and I’ve had Milwaukee tools for the last 8 years or so. I love all my Milwaukee tools and recommend them all. With the exception of this one depending on your needs. This drill is smooth and quiet but not powerful as every other brand on my jobsite. It’s actually embarrassing having to borrow other guys impacts to finish sinking timberlocks which are very common on my site. Please improve this model Milwaukee

Not what they used to be
I upgraded my hex driver to the newer M18 Fuel model, but it stopped changing direction after a few weeks. Tool rep acknowledged the issue is common, only offered a warranty repair number with a month-long backlog. This decline in quality control is concerning. It feels like they [Milwaukee] is passing on the responsibility of fixing their production process to their customers by asking them to work with the warranty department. I recommend exploring other options before committing to this tool.

Best small Impact Driver out there.
I have 5 different Milwaukee M-18 drivers and two M12 impact drivers. I got this one late last year and it has quickly become my favorite. I like it best because it is shorter than the old model, allowing you to get access where the other one would not always fit. It also has more torque than the old model, and what really tops it off are the multiple speeds. I prefer it with the low profile 3.0 HO Battery, but I have never managed to drain a 2.0 LP battery in a single day.

The have worked well for me. However the last two messed up within the first use. The spring pops out of the socket and the bits no longer stay in the drill. Going to return the second one now. Didnt last one day
