Can this be used to transfer automotive coolant from a container to the vehicle?
No — the M12 Submersible Stick Water Transfer Pump is designed for clean water only. It should not be used with automotive coolant, chemicals, fuels, or any flammable/contaminated liquids.
As the other answer noted is not intended to be use with chemicals, but i been using it frequently for automotive coolant without any issues.. it works!
Can it be used as sump pump back up, meaning it self activates and stops by itself if no water detected?
No — the M12 Submersible Stick Water Transfer Pump does not have an automatic on/off sensor. It is manually activated with the tool trigger and shuts off only when you release or remove the battery.
how close to the bottom of a tank will it still draw water from?
The M12 Stick Pump will draw water down to approximately 1/16" of residual water, making it excellent for cleanup and emptying tanks with minimal left behind.
Can it use for hot water 200 f degree?

I have the XC5.0 battery, can I purchase just the charger for that battery?
Yes - look for the M12 battery charger. 48-59-2401 You'd be best off buying a kit and get it with a battery and tool.
