Needs modification to work on D.C. shut-off valves
I am giving this 3 stars because as it came from the store, it was completely useless when attempting to open the shut-off valve at the street - the opening was too wide at about 13/16" and the two sides are angled so it just slipped off the 1/2" wide projection on top of the valve. However, I was able to squeeze it down to fit neatly onto the valve with a clamp as shown and then the valve was opened easily. It was closed by DC Water after a pipe burst; I could not open it fully with a wrench.

Excellent!
We had to use this today and it was well worth it. Another neighbor noticed one of our other neighbor’s yard was flooding and she’s out of town. We successfully turned off the water. Thanks!

Excellent construction. All the metal is coated with paint and plastic on the handles. The metal is heavy rebar and the end is welded on. It will take years and years of abuse.
