        Geat Product
Well made and well packaged product. We don't live where Hurricanes come but we wanted a semi transparent partition between two spaces that could be put up and taken down easily. This was just was we needed. It is study and will hold up to most things hitting it and still gives us the ability to see through. Look forward to using it for many years to come.
This product solves two big problems with metal hurricane shutters. 1)The weight - which leaves me exhausted by the time I have finished putting them all up (and taking down). 2) cave effect - no light and no view makes the storm much more frightening. This is a very lightweight panel and has a Florida HVHZ cert number so it must work. I am just using it on a smaller window to get a view and some light since I already have all the metal shutters bought and paid for. This panel lets full light through which is the reason I am swapping this for a metal shutter here and there.

        Clear & Durable
This Storm Sheeting is amazing stuff. At over a half inch thick it is intended to be used for storm shutters. It has a multi layer construction yet is clear & lightweight and unlike plywood will let the light in while still protecting. The sheeting covering indicates that there is an outside surface which is UV protected, so I would not remove this covering prior to installation. This material is very clear and stiff. It is available in 4 foot by 8 foot sheets and can be cut with normal wood working tools. You will need to add moldings to protect & seal the edges.

        Frame not supplied
Pretty lightweight for a storm shutter at only 4 LBs but having said that, this does appear to well-constructed, and the design gives me the impression that I will/should stand up. It is a 3-wall clear sheet that is 16mm thick (5/8 of an inch) and is undulating form (moves in waves to give the sheet a lot more strength). The is, sadly, one important item missing, so you must buy one or make it yourself. What is that? The framework as this storm shutter is sold without one. Although the asking price is a fair one, even if the vendor did not supply one, (which they do not,) it would have been helpful if advice was given in making one to size The other thing I like is it allows light to infiltrate the room, whereas the old and tested plywood would leave the room in darkness. This has been tested with a 2x4 wood which is shot and impacted before being inspected and passed. Comes with a 3-month returnable

Very strong and clear panel lets the light in
At first glance I wasn't too sure how good this product would be as the plastic is very thin, but upon closer inspection, seeing the closeness of the ribs and how it is constructed, convinced me. It is like small plastic I-beams and the strength is impressive for as thin as the material is. After having used plywood during hurricanes and having a dark house, these panels letting light in really helps eliminate feeling claustrophobic.

Great product. Beats plywood because it’s much lighter and also lets light into the house.

Happy with the product. Very light and sturdy which is what I wanted. Seems a bit costly but nothing else I could find was better.
