Questions & Answers

Do the 3M aerosol adhesives offer any guide tube to be able to spray into a small diameter hole?

I want to drill a hole in between my formica and counter top where it bubbled up and shoot the adhesive in different directions.
Asked by: Dan
I don't think it will work, because it is a contact adhesive. Needs to be applied to both surfaces, let dry to tack, then bond together. Try a heat gun on low, and a hard wallpaper seam roller. Warm the area up and roll it down. If that doesn't work, think about new tops.

How to clean adhesive over sprayer off ? Thanks

I have been doing laminate work for more than 30 years and lacquer thinner has always been the go to adhesive remover. It wont hurt your skin and it dries immediately. Get yourself a squeeze type plastic bottle, can be something a product came in that you use in the kitchen and you are good to go. You can use thinner for a lot of things, taking the inspection sticker glue off the windshield and the like.

No, it must be sprayed on the surfaces to be joined prior to fastening them.

Can this be used to do a headliner in a car

Asked by: Bill
Sure, it will work fine, in fact make the installation easier. Spray the roof, allow the spray to become a little tacky. apply head liner and press in place. It may be hard to position after application so be sure it is exactly where you want it.

I have used this before back when we used to be able to buy it in Commiefornia. I was traveling for work in Nevada and bought a large amount of it because I can no longer get it here. Go figure, they never want us to have the good stuff. Over regulated to death in this state. So anytime I am traveling and need something I know they restrict from selling here I grab a bunch of it. It is a great product, far superior to the 77 Spray Adhesive that they let us buy here. Expensive but worth it.

Could not get it to fan after that ,even after cleaning. Sprayed steady stream that I had to use roller to apply .But cement did hold well enough.

I loved being able to spray this right on and it dries to tack much faster. Maybe it’s not as strong, but for laminate counter in a wood shop, it was perfect.

Used it to bind some corrugated plastic backing to a flexible solar panel for a little better support and air flow. It has worked well so far. Just make sure you apply the adhesive to both objects being bonded, not just one side.
