This gate worked perfectly on my backyard patio and I couldn't be happier with the final product....
This gate worked perfectly on my backyard patio and I couldn't be happier with the final product. I needed a gate to fit a 47 inch opening and this gate worked perfectly because the actual gate is much smaller than 48 inches, but leaving space on either side of the gate makes up the difference. The gate was very easy to install (mounting screws aren't included) by myself and I wouldn't consider myself extremely handy. The gate is very light weight, so it does scratch and dent very easily.

DeckoRail Gate
We purchased this gate for our back deck to protect the granddaughter from the steps and also to keep the German Shepard contained on the deck. The gate was 45.5" wide and we installed it into a 40.75" opening. Using a hacksaw we cut the gate to fit and reinstalled the the end-rail. I used the top rail caps under the end rails as guides for height guides. (right at 1") The hinges are plastic, yes, but the bag they came in says they have a lifetime guaranty. That brings me to the screws for the hinges. They say they are enclosed with the hinges, but are in a separate bag loose from the rest, I about threw them away. They are self drilling screws that worked well in the end rails, but didn't work so well in my wood posts so I used 2.5" wood screws instead. There are very nice covers over the screws so nobody will see the difference. The gate works and looks very nice, and am pleased with the purchase. The latch screws are not self drilling, but used a screw from the hinges to drill the holes in the end rails, but the screws provided worked well in the wood post.

Too bad it is now discontinued i think ?
I had to drive an hour to get two of these as they were the only ones left on the east coast. An Excellent value compared to the TREX aluminum gate which is like $700 ( ridiculous) . Great quality and everything is included . I am quite happy !
