    A:  They could be. Sink them plenty deep enough in the ground (at least 2.5 feet) to be sure they hold up.

        Ridiculous very disapointed
        Just startedmiving my boards out the driveway today! I was disgusted tgd driver put all the boards on top of a bad one it was skin down all the ww past the half of the board from the end! I hane never had a problem with home depot so i havent checked until tonight.

                  Used to build simple steps from the driveway to the side yard. I cut 3 - 36 inch pieces and screwed then to a notched 2" x 10" x 4' on each side.to make a frame. Was very easy to cut and drill. Only complaint is it wasn't dry and was quite heavy. But it looks great and once the the slate is on top it will look great.
