Why do the pictures not match the descriptions, 2 windows, or 1 window; door in the center or off center. There no windows in the Product Description. Very confusing, not sure exactly what to expect with all the discrepancies?

I plan to use these as fence posts. If I cut them in half to be 5 feet long and want my fence post to be at least 4 feet tall, is 1 foot enough to be in the ground for the post to stay up long-term?

      Answer This Question

No. Should have 2 feet in the ground.

While one foot in the ground might work for a short time, it's generally recommended to have at least 2.5 - 3 feet of the post buried for long-term stability, especially for a fence. This will help ensure the fence can withstand wind and other external forces.

I plan to use these as fence posts outside, along with a heavy duty rope (3/4 or 1 inch). How far apart should these be placed for my garden (30 ft x 14 ft)?

If I use these as fence posts in the ground without using cement, will they last with just a sealant or water repellant? If so, which sealant or water repellant would be best for long-term protection directly in the ground?

          Answer This Question

We recommend using concrete or cement in any hole to hold the posts in place. They will last without a sealer, but the extra protection will help keep them looking better for longer.

            Good enough.
A little warped and knotty but good enough to fix my 30 + year old fence with.

This Pressure-Treated Ground Contact Southern Pine Timber arrives wet, and some pieces may be infested with fungus and mildewed. Therefore, if you store it for a period, anticipate further contamination.

Everything we ordered was exactly what we needed. We not only ordered posts for a lighting project (which turned out awesome), but we also ordered 75 bags of landscaping rock. Perhaps it could have been cheaper to have a load dumped; however, for us (age and ability) having the bags made our rocks beds project far more do-able.. Having it delivered was extremely smart on our part, and it was nice to have a positive person delivering our items.

2 out of 9 posts came too warped for me to use
This is the first time I've ever ordered anything from Home Depot. Not only were two out of nine posts bad, but they also forgot the staple gun and staples. If that wasn't bad enough, Home Depot is not willing to fix their mistake by picking up the bad posts and replacing them with good ones; I have to bring the posts in myself to get them replaced. Most vehicles can't fit this size of post in them, including mine. So what should have been a simple order has turned into a fairly big ordeal.

Leaked oil all over my driveway when being delivered. Came home to what appeared to be a major oil leak on there fork lift. Filed a claim 3 weeks ago and never heard back from Home Depot. Tried cleaning but driveway is stained and breaking down in a few spots.

One of the 4x4x12 wasn't any good. It was bent and had a bad place about 3ft. long in it. It was unusable.
