I have a large started aluminium patio cover that was from a kit and looks like a wooden pergola. Can I use this on top?

I'm not sure I completely understand the question, but I'll tell you what I think you're asking... and answer that. It sounds like you've got an aluminum frame patio cover, but for some reason there is no 'top' to it? Assuming that is correct and that the aluminum frame is not too far spread out this should work. If your supports are more than about a foot apart, you're probably going to get some sagging otherwise, you should be able to attach it directly to the frame. The material can be drilled, so I'd put the holes lined up with the supports. Then I'd see if screws or pop-rivets would work best. With either option, I'd put a rubber washer over the fastener (small 'O'-Rings might be easiest to find) then insert it and snug it down from the top (not all the way to avoid cutting the rubber washer). I would imagine one fastener spaced at 1' intervals should work fine to hold it in place.

How could this be attached to a regular glass ⁷window,

Hello, there are a few options for this. Silicone sold in the Acrylic display (SKU# 101241 or 600504) is an options. Also drilling holes is performed best on a drill press with commercially available plastic cutting drill bits. The bit should enter the acrylic sheet at a slow feed rate, then a steady rate producing two continuous spiral chips, finally exiting through the acrylic slowly, eliminating chipping. Lastly, Please see the attached fabrication guide: http://www.plaskolite.com/Media/Get/97?inline=True. Thank you.

Can this item be cut to 46X46 inches?

I don't think Home Depot will cut it for you. When I cut mine I first tried a jigsaw with a wood cutting blade. That cut through very fast, but when I pulled back the protective sheeting, I could see that it didn't cut it so much as just shatter its way through. I swapped to a metal cutting (fine toothed) blade and that cut much slower, but it actually cut it. My jig saw isn't very exact, so once I got it cut down close to the final size, I used my bandsaw with a fine tooth blade and cut it slowly for a very clean, strait final cut.

Shopped around on different websites, but...
Home Depot had the best buy for the best size and the best shipping deal. A couple other places local wanted a minimum of $150 purchase and/or $150 shipping. Oy! No thank you. Home Depot gave us the size we needed at a great price plus shipped to our local store for free! We just purchased a brand new hard wood kitchen table and are owned by a couple of cats. They love to run and play and slide on the kitchen table. This plexi saves the finish and keeps the table looking new. The table is mostly for looks when not in use for holiday meals. Again, for us it was a great price and the shipping to our local Home Depot was fast, free and convenient.

Material is quite soft but was ok for what I used it for. Maybe polycarbonate would have been a better choice for me but wasn’t available at time of purchase.

The product is as-advertised. I'm waiting for warmer weather to install it. The excellent rating is for the product itself.Shipping and handling get one or two stars. This is costly ($110/sheet) fragile material. I had some concern about having it shipped. Although the packaging received some damage in-transit, the goods were not harmed. The package designer won this round. Room for some improvement here.
