How many pickets for 75 ft

It's just simple math. The boards are approx 5.5" wide. 75' is 900 inches. 900 divided by 5.5 is 163 boards. It will probably be slightly fewer because of gaps in the boards. And you'll likely get a few bad boards, so get at lest 10 extra and you can take them back if needed.

They won't hold well. Use fencing nails, they are galvanized and have ring shanks to hold better.

We buy a lot of this type fence pickets, for our farm, we not only use them for fences we use them for siding for our out buildings, we always get the best price by going into Home Depot and getting quotes from the person in charge of selling large material lots to builders.

We purchased 150 pickets (75ft of fencing) to reface the back of our neighbor's fence,so we could also have a ‘pretty’ side. These pickets are a bit rough with few actual defects. There are knots and some warping of the lumber, but generally consistent with #2 grade wood. They were clearly heavily and recently treated with the pressure-treated chemicals which added quite a bit to the weight, but also not brittle and worked well with pneumatic stainless ring shank nails driven in at speed. Very little splitting during installation. You will need to wear good gloves to prevent a heavy dose of splinters. We expect to stain the wood in a few months when the treatment has dried out. Would buy again.

6 foot fence pickets
Installed over 700 pickets after completion 200 either split down the middle or split on top and bottom some of them warped had to rip them off and return them very big waste of time there’s no way to tail whether or not they’re going to do that until they start to dry out 2 to 3 weeks after installation

Didn't have a single bad board in ~2-1/2 bundles (630 panels). None of the boards had any discoloration such as mold, mainly because I didn't store them for weeks/months before I installed them. I purchased these to replace my 15 year old fence that had started falling down due to using nails that weren't made to be exposed to the elements. My plan was to reuse the 15 year old fence panels, however too many of them had been sun dried to the point where they broke apart when pulling them off, so my project costs increased substantially. I will point out that the other big name hardware store had these advertised for $0.60 ea less, however none of their stores within 100 miles had any in stock for me to be able to price match. All in all, I would recommend these fence panels and HD to others.
