5 cu. yd. Bulk Playground Mulch is delivered locally to your home or jobsite. Contains a blend of natural regional forest products. Mulch is designed to break down slowly over a year's time or more.
- Additional freight charges may apply if one or more of the following conditions are met: driveway unable to accommodate large trucks resulting in multiple deliveries; specialty equipment required for larger quantities; products not locally available or remote areas
- Customer approval required prior to delivery if any additional charges are required
- Customer should expect a brief order verification email after order has been placed
- A follow up call will be made if there are concerns with the order, driveway, or additional freight charges
- Please note: all delivery recipients are required to complete/sign our damage waiver at or before the time of delivery
- Our delivery trucks must deliver on hard surface at all times, such as concrete, asphalt, pavers, or gravel
- Driveway must be a minimum of 10 ft. wide
- Delivery within 7 - 10 business days by a local representative based on customer's preferred delivery date
- For quantities over 10 yds., please add the available quantities together (ex. 5 yds. + 7 yds. for 12 total yards)

Dont buy!!!!
The mulch I got was like dirt. I ordered 20 cubic yards and it looked like 10 cubic yards. The company tried to charge me for delivery. I had to call home depot to fix the error on their side.

Rough wood chips — not playground mulch
What we received was not "playground mulch" at all — full of large branches and jagged wood like the rough wood chips used for woodland landscaping. We will try to salvage what we can, but would not recommend to other families.

Item description is miss leading.
The picture of the mulch is most likely not what you’re going to get. I realize the product says it can vary from state to state but I didn’t even get close to what I ordered. It’s too late once they drop it off. I had 10 cubic yards dropped off. You can’t really return that. I should have looked in the truck before they unloaded. The picture Home Depot shows large wood chips for which I wanted for my child’s playground. I got small landscaping mulch you would use for a flower bed. Not ideal for a playground. I will go to a a different place from now on and visually pick what I want.

I ordered 6 cubic yards for a 20x20ft play area. This was a good amount and filled the box nicely with a large uhaul boxful left over which can be used as a refill later. These woodchips are not as clean as advertised there are small stones, and pieces of plastic mixed in. I think these foreign items get mixed in because the truck that delivers it has the mulch directly in the flat bed and residue of whatever was previously in the truck mixes in. For the price I expected it to be pure wood chips. It is super dusty and dry on arrival but after it rains that really calms down. Delivery will be dumped in a heap on your driveway so be sure to have a plan to get it to the backyard. You will most definitely need a shovel and a wheelbarrow or some other way to move it.

Pretty much as advertised
We ordered 5 cu. yd. for the area around the play set (see picture) and it was more than enough. The mulch is good at cushioning falls but the kiddos still complain about getting scratched from time to time. Our only real complaint is that the mulch had a decent amount of plastic debris mixed in – both hard and soft plastics.

Better than expected!
The mulch arrived much sooner than originally quoted, which worked out great. The mulch was much smaller than shown in the picture and more finely chopped, which made the mulch softer and bouncier. Product has been great, and the kids have loved playing in this more than the dirt yard that their play set was previously on.

The ordering was easy, just select the amount you need. the delivery company was very good at communicating the delivery. The mulch itself was good, exactly the size i expected.
The only issue was the mulch did have rocks, shells, and a 2"x 1" chunk of cement with reinforcement in it. I believe the delivery company should take a little more care cleaning out trucks between loads, as all the rocks/shells looked like typical landscaping materials.

Perfect Playground Mulch
The playground mulch was much better than expected. It had small pieces of wood chips instead of the larger pieces that seem too bulky. We are very happy with the product we received.

School playground
The whole process was handled with professionalism from start to delivery. This is the second year of using the product and we have had no issue on our small school playground. It is a much smaller chipping than what is shown on the page for the product, this doesn't create a problem for us.
