A: The biggest concern when passing cable through a steel post is that the hole edges might be sharp enough to cut the cable. You might need to use a cap or other tube to protect the cable from the cut edges of the holes in the steel.

Q:Can I buy a longer cable and make a 90 degree turn?

A: You can make a single 90 degree turn but the manufacturer states it should not be longer than a total of 45 feet total in length. If the length is longer than that you should do two separate runs.

Looks really nice

We installed these wires about a month or so ago, they do seem to need tightening up after a bit of time. Not sure if this will continue so we are not cutting off the screw type of end. Other than that it is a great product that is very easy to install. And it looks great too!

I really like the stainless steel cable kit. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of a five is it can be very tricky to hold the cable still while you screw in the end nut. If the lock plier slips, the cable will twist or can even break. I figured out a way of avoiding this problem. Screw the nut on ahead of time and give it your self an inch or so extra. Then pull the cable through the post and instead of holding the cable with lock pliers use the lock pliers on the threaded end. The nut will screw on easily and very tightly and the cable will not get damaged. It makes installing this kit a breeze.
