A:  All sand supplies contain either limestone (marble) or quartz (silicon dioxide). Some sources contain both. We recommend keeping QUIKRETE® Play Sand damp to improve compaction and to minimize dust generation.

        A:  QUIKRETE® Play Sand is a screened and washed natural sand. In many, but not all, locations, it is sold in a dry state, after being kiln dried. QUIKRETE® Play Sand has no other ingredients added to it, so it presents no more danger than sand obtained from a beach or a river. QUIKRETE® Play Sand contains no deodorants or clumping agents, which may make cleanup more difficult.
