What is the weight for a panel? I noticed that Great Southern Woods responded to the last two questions on weight with two different numbers. Which is the correct one?

125 pounds is probably closest, but it can vary by region, how recently it was treated, etc.

Can these fence sections be racked so they can be installed on a slope and still have the pickets remain plumb?
              ByApr 2, 2025

              Answer This Question

Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. Yes, these fence sections can be racked to accommodate a slope. This involves adjusting the height of each panel to follow the slope's contour while keeping the pickets plumb (vertically straight). We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future.

Sturdy with solid nail construction--some pickets were damaged but were easily wood glued back together. We used 5 to redo our fence ourselves and it worked well.

                I don't recommend
Delivery of the panels was good. Some items had to be cancelled because they were not delivered on time. When the crew began putting these panels up, some were discolored/looked scorched, had broken dog ears, split/broken/damaged pickets, many pickets were mounted with broken off staples and were not mounted straight. The mounting boards were inconsistent with broken ends and knots with holes. Never had issues with HD products but these were terrible.

Product was nothing of a shadow box we’re also for a customer of mine and had to take them apart and put the boards on the correct side as all boards were on the same side of the 2x3 just stacked on top of each other

These fence sections made 120 feet of fencing easy enough to do most of the work by myself. Recommend not using on hills. Delivery was easy and the driver was super friendly and easy to work with.

8 of my 29 panels were new and perfectly assembled. The others were poorly assembled, crooked, warped and discolored. These must have been last year's panels.

I had to call the order in thru the corporate headquarters. No calls to the store in Silver Spring Md. Ever!!! Made it to an order. Over 30 calls and nobody was able to make a delivery order until I called corporate and complained. Even then there was no follow up from the corporate office!

Ordering was easy, and the fence panels are good quality, but some panels arrived damaged and had to be returned. The customer service was great and made the appropriate returns/replacements. Overall I was satisfied with my purchase.
