Home Depot needs to screen these questions. I can’t tell you how many times they forward questions to customers that they should answer. At my Home Depot, if I asked them to cut it down, they would. Good luck Dee!
I am using these as posts in a livestock corral and using a tractor front end loader to lift and set into post holes. They are heavy when dry and heavier when new/wet. My guess is at least 75-80 lbs.
These do not have any pre-drilled holes.
I feel that this would be a poor choose for this type project.
Hi Dsx, the color and grain can vary from post to post . The important thing is the ground or above ground contact use for this post. Check with your local Home Depot Store and talk with a professional and they will help you make the product choice. Ret.
Hi Garth, you asked about MSR-1650 (Machine Stress Rated lumber). This is something that you need to check with your local Home Depot Store and ask one of the professionals to check on this for you. They would be able to help you to get the proper post for your job. Ret
Yes it is pressure treated.
Absolutely. I built a pergola with them. They can withstand a lot of weight. Much more than an overhang on a porch.
